IPCC-58 went into overtime on Saturday, and delegates made their way to the Congress Kursaal venue before 6:00 am for the first plenary session of the day. With substantial text remaining to be approved, governments continued to work in contact groups and huddles to try to reach agreement for formal approval in plenary.

The pressure increased as the day progressed, and by Saturday night delegates were preparing to work around the clock to complete their review.
