Wrapping up the first week, delegates continued their consideration of the Summary for Policymakers of the Working Group I (WG I) contribution to the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

One plenary session took place during the day, addressing two subsections, respectively on irreversible long-term changes and on low-likelihood high-impact outcomes. Both subsections were taken up in plenary for the first time. Subsequently, authors met to discuss comments from delegates and reflect on how best to respond to them.

Two contact group sessions also took place during the day, respectively addressing a box on scenarios, climate models, and projections; and a subsection on what is required, from a physical science perspective, to limit human-induced global warming.
