The work of the three Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Working Groups resumed on Wednesday at IPCC-62 in Hangzhou, China.
Delegates participating in sessions of Working Group I (physical science), Working Group II (impacts, adaptation, and vulnerability), and Working Group III (mitigation) continued refining the outlines for their respective contributions to the Seventh Assessment Report (AR7). Each Working Group strived to agree on guidance for IPCC authors when reviewing the literature on climate science, adaptation, and mitigation.
In the margins of the main sessions, delegates engaged in focused huddles to tackle specific aspects of the report outlines. These smaller, targeted discussions enabled a more detailed exploration and resolution of issues.
Working Group sessions continued into the evening.
