On Tuesday, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change continued deliberations on a range of issues that are crucial to advancing its seventh assessment cycle. With only four days scheduled for its 63rd session, delegates addressed many items on its agenda, including:

- scoping of the methodology report on carbon dioxide removal technologies, carbon capture utilization and storage;
- a proposal for an expert meeting on Regional Climate Information & Atlas;
- the financial implications and estimated associated travel-related greenhouse gas emissions of holding physical, virtual, and hybrid meetings;
- the cost implications of extending additional Trust Fund support for developing country and country with economy in transition participation in Panel sessions, in particular approval sessions, to increase their participation;
- matters related to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES); and
- progress reports.
IPCC-63 worked throughout the day and into the evening. The session is scheduled to conclude on Thursday.
