On Tuesday, the contact group on ADP item 3 took place throughout the day, addressing workstream 1 (2015 agreement), with a focus on adaptation and finance. In the afternoon, during discussions on finance in the 2015 agreement, the contact group heard updates on progress by the Green Climate Fund (GCF) and the Standing Committee on Finance (SCF). A Technical Expert Meeting (TEM) on carbon capture use and storage (CCUS) addressed carbon capture and storage (CCS) in the morning, and carbon capture and use (CCU) in the afternoon. In the evening, the Co-Chairs held a special event with observers to present concrete ideas and proposals on the roles that non-state actors could play in catalyzing action to enhance pre-2020 ambition effectively and in designing the 2015 agreement.
