The United Nations Climate Change Conference in Doha, Qatar, opened on Monday morning, 26 November, at the Qatar National Convention Centre. Following an opening ceremony, during which Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah of Qatar was elected COP President, delegates gathered for the opening plenary meetings of the COP, CMP, SBI and SBSTA. A number of side events also convened. |
