UNWCDRR-III On Wednesday morning, delegates reconvened in the Main Committee’s informal session to continue negotiations of the draft text of the post-2015 framework for DRR, after all-night meetings of the two informal working groups on climate change and international cooperation, and on technology transfer and other issues. Negotiations in the Main Committee continued through the day.

8:58 am : A cleaned-up version of the draft text is prepared, indicating language delivered by the two working groups.

10:20 am : The Main Committee convenes and the text is circulated to delegates for their review.

10:50 am: The Main Committee resumes its discussion of the draft, which includes language on issues including means of implementation (MOI), technology transfer and conflict situations.

11:15 am: The Main Committee continues its discussions through lunchtime, breaking twice for delegations to clarify an issue related to technology transfer, and for the secretariat to address a technical transcription matter.

12:45 pm: Discussions in Main Committee continue as the closing plenary is postponed.

2:10 pm: The Main Committee discusses priorities for action under the draft post-2015 framework for DRR.

3:15 pm: Secretariat announces the closing ceremony is postponed to 6 pm as discussions continue in Main Committee.

5:10 pm: Main Committee adjourns its informal session for 45 minutes to allow time for host country to prepare a "facilitator's text" and political declaration for adoption. Plenary is postponed to 7:00 pm.

6:30 pm: Host country continues with drafting facilitator's text, Main Committee to reconvene in one hour.

7:00 pm: Delegates continue the wait for the host country's proposed text.

9:00 pm: Proposed text is distributed to Main Committee for review.

9:34 pm: Main Committee reconvenes to discuss President's proposal for Sendai Framework for DRR 2015-2030 and the draft Sendai Declaration.

10:16 pm: Main Committee convenes formally and recommends adoption of the Sendai Framework for DRR 2015-2030, the Sendai Declaration and a draft resolution welcoming stakeholders' expression of voluntary commitments to reduce disaster risk, and invites the creation of partnerships to implement the post-2015 framework for DRR.

10:29 pm: Main Committee adjourns to the Exhibition Hall for closing plenary of the third UN World Conference on DRR.

11:44 pm Closing plenary convenes, accepts Main Committee's recommendation and adopts the Sendai Framework for DRR 2015-2030, the draft Sendai Declaration and a draft resolution welcoming stakeholders' commitments.

12:25 am: Eriko Yamatani, Minister of State for Disaster Management, Japan, gavels #WCDRR to a close.
